Types of claims

There are three main Acts covering DVA claims, depending on when and where your service occurred. We handle them all.

MRCA (Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004)

For injuries, illnesses or conditions related to Australian Defence Force (ADF) service from 1 July 2004 onwards.

DRCA (Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1998)

For conditions arising from most non-operational service before 1 July 2004, and some specific operational service between 1994 and 2004.

VEA (Veterans’ Entitlements Act 1986)

For wartime service, specific operational deployments, and certain peacetime service from 7 December 1972 to 30 June 2004.
